The role is hybrid, including Tuesday-Thursdays onsite in an awesome office in Midtown Manhattan. Here are the details:
The HR Manager carries out all day-to-day activities of the HR and Payroll functions, with the role of enhancing the overall staff experience and providing strategic guidance and support to the leadership team. This is a strategic and tactical role with duties that include talent acquisition, culture-building, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, payroll, and compliance. What you’ll do:
Work with CEO, CFO and Management team to help build company culture.
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, from job posting to onboarding.
Conduct investigations into employee relations issues, and recommend appropriate actions.
Audit and run payroll, maintaining accuracy and compliance.
Manage employee benefits programs through JustWorks.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records.
Communicate with employees about HR policies and programs.
Track and analyze HR metrics to identify trends and make data-driven decisions.
What You’ll Need:
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Bachelor's degree in human resources management or 5-7 years equivalent HR Management (including experience as an HR Generalist).
Comprehensive knowledge of HR principles and practices.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Highly organized.
Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Work under pressure with changing priorities.
SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification is highly preferred
Experience in tech start-up environment is highly preferred
